Energy Auditing & Retro-Commissioning Services and Local Law 87
New York City’s Local Law 87 of 2009 requires that all buildings larger than 50,000 square feet perform an ASHRAE Level II energy audit and retrocommissioning study of base building systems and file an Energy Efficiency Report (EER) with the NYC Department of Buildings.
ERS’s energy auditing and retrocommissioning service will ensure your compliance with Local Law 87. We’ve performed thousands of studies in our nearly 20 years of experience, with our clients experiencing annual energy cost savings in the millions of dollars. As part of our energy auditing and retrocommissioning service, we:
- Perform a building walk-through to identify energy system inefficiencies
- Discuss operational procedures and protocols to pinpoint no- and low-cost efficiency improvements that can yield immediate savings through refined operational practices
- Test and recalibrate existing systems to reach optimal performance and decrease energy consumption immediately
- Analyze systems to determine appropriate energy efficiency upgrades
- Provide a finalized report detailing potential investments and their approximate cost and energy saving potential
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) FlexTech Program provides cost-sharing to eligible customers for energy audits and retrocommissioning studies, which can be used to comply with Local Law 87 requirements.Learn more about this incentive program.
